Thermonuclear melody

A while back I designed a cover for this all girl metal band. They had a cool theme of portraying themselves as zombies. I was into it from the start. I sat down and started to work on it immediately. Unfortunately they pulled the project before I ever showed my concept. It had been sitting on my desk half finished for a couple weeks now. When I started oganizing my files I found it and I knew had to finish the sketch. I had fun working on it and may ink and color it for myself.

Where are your Gold Medals?

A character for Game pointe. I had a thought that he is a triathelete and had a collection of medals. Then he had them fitted into his jumpsuit. The guy is supposed to be native american, and Mel wanted him to have a spear but I didn't want to put a spear in his hand. I just didn't feel right doing it.

Its getting cold in here

This was the first character I designed for Game pointe. It practically set the bar for all the other designs of mine. I should post her cutsy version somewhere so you can compare the difference.

The hitman

Another redraw for Game pointe. I had a fun time making all the characters slightly older looking. Though I admit they all kinda loose on the charm factor. They all have a more angst and moody quality to them. I liked how the pants and the bat turned out.

Gimme some Moe

Another redraw for Mel. I made her alot bigger and not so cute. I think that she looks intimidating enough without going overboard. She feels older but still has a kooshy teddy bear quality.

Wicked backhand

Mel insisted that I redraw this character. Personally I liked the baby look she had before. Kinda like she was really really short. I kept the chubby cheeks she had and that hair cut.

The Beast

I had to re-work this sketch cause it didn't quite have the feel I wanted. After playing with it some more I was satisfied. I always liked this guy. I really liked it when anyone would make him like a gorilla. If you don't play with his anatomy, your not having fun with this character.

Intergalactic Planetary,Plantery... another Dimension

Another oldie that I revisited. After I did that goth girl design a while back I had this whole platform boot thing going around in my head. I aged her a bit. More of a pre-teen than the child she used to be. I always had this weird theme with her hair. "Make It Funky!!".

9 iron Samurai

Another rediculous and over the top design for Game pointe. Its a wonder how these kids even get through the front door. With all that big ass equipment they carry, they probably don't learn that much at school.

The Black magic

I had been wanting for a long time to make a swimmer character for Game pointe. I decided to make another aquatic themed character. The guy is supposed androgynous. So I made the him slimmer than my original thumbnail. Kinda hard not to make these guys too buff.
